Monster World Rally Team looking to add another driver.

Monster World Rally Team has mentioned in recent blog posts via their "offical website" that they are going to be naming an additional driver to their rally team for next season. It has not been stated whether it will just be for World Rally Championship events, Rally America events, or both. The rally faithful and observant gymkanha video fans may have guessed that Chris Atkinson might be the guy they're referring to.

In loving memory of Nate Greer

Crazy Nate, Turbo Nate, Nate Greer... However you knew him, you loved him.

It's hard to find words right now... Nate was just an incredible human being. I was glad to call him friend, mentor, hero. There are very few people that I actually look up to and admire in this world. Nate Greer was one of them. I'm glad to say he was a dear friend of mine.

Millen looks to bring Pike's Peak record back to US

Rhys Millen wats to break the Pikes Peak hill-climb record, and he's partnering with Hyundai to build the unique weapon you see here. The current record holder, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima, set his time of 10:01.408 in a purpose-built Suzuki Sport "XL7" that had about as much to do with a real Suzuki as Millen's does with any Genesis.

Loeb wins Rally Great Britain to take his sixth WRC championship

France's Sébastien Loeb claimed his sixth World Rally Championship title and 54th career victory with a win on the Rally Great Britain, the final round of the 2009 WRC season. While Loeb led from start to finish, he had to fight every inch of the way. Coming into the rally one point behind his only title rival, Ford's Mikko Hirvonen, the Citroën driver knew he had to finish ahead of the Finn to stand any chance of taking the title again.

Maserati team claims FIA GT championship at Zolder

Germany's Vitaphone Maserati team completed a perfect weekend in the FIA GT Championship finale at Zolder in Belgium, claiming the overall race win and the GT1-class drivers' crown.

Hyundai talks with Chrysler, Nissan-Renault in line

NEW YORK/DETROIT (Reuters) � South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co has had talks with Chrysler LLC owner Cerberus Capital Management about a potential acquisition of the U.S. automaker's Jeep brand and possibly other assets, people with knowledge of the talks said on Friday.

Honda 600 HP NSX replacement

Honda�s replacement for the NSX is still more than two years away but a number of key details about the car have been revealed by an inside source at Honda. According to the insider, the styling of the new car will be very similar to the Advanced Sports Car Concept from last year�s Detroit Auto Show and its future price tag will be around the $160,000 mark.

The car�s lines will favor efficiency over style, with much of the design derived from Honda�s F1 program. According to Edmunds, a prototype set a blistering Nurburgring lap time of 7m 37s on its first attempt and the final number should easily slip below 7m 30s and into Corvette ZR1 and Nissan GT-R territory.

EVO X Gains FIA Group N homologation

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation submitted to the Federation Internationale de L'automobile (FIA) papers on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (chassis type CZ4A) for Group N Official homologation, receiving that recognition on August 1st 2008.
The FIA Group N Official homologation number is "N-5718."
